The Cloverdale Rodeo and County Fair in Cloverdale, B.C. was the site of the Cone Zone Go Kart Ride, an event meant to teach youngsters about vehicle safety in construction zones in a fun and safe environment.
Kids drove electric go-karts through a "real world" environment with simulated construction hazards. Since 2011, WorkSafeBC and the Justice Institute of British Columbia, along with several partner organizations, have run the Cone Zone campaign from May to August to raise awareness about the need for caution around work zones.
