The University of Calgary’s Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning recently celebrated its grand opening.
Built on the site of the former Nickel Arts Museum, the $40-million project designed by Gibbs Gage/Diamond Schmitt Architects features a large public space as well as reconfigurable spaces intended to facilitate new approaches to learning. CANA Construction was the construction manager on the project, Entuitive Corporation was the structural engineer and Glenmore Fabricators Limited was the steel fabricator, detailer and erector. All three firms are Calgary-based.
