Dream Ridge shines in Calgary BILD awards

Dream Ridge Homes has announced it has been named 2020 Builder of the Year (Small Volume Single Family) by BILD Calgary Region Awards. Other Dream Ridge wins included best new home winner Contemporary West Coast Home in Mount Royal, architectural design by Dean Thomas Design Group; and best new home winner Modern Brownstone in Marda Loop, architectural design by McDowell & Associates, interior design by Martine Ast.

Procore acquires INDUS.AI

Construction management software firm Procore announced it has acquired INDUS.AI, makers of an artificial intelligence-powered analytics platform for the construction industry. The acquisition brings computer vision capabilities to the Procore platform. INDUS.AI has been trained with millions of images and videos specific to construction and is able to identify more than 70 metadata labels per image.

Saskatchewan funds mental health facility upgrade

Three Saskatchewan branch offices of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) will receive one-time payments from the Saskatchewan Health Authority for facility and equipment upgrades. The $340,000 investment will consist of the Swift Current CMHA branch receiving $200,000 to help support a capital replacement project and the Prince Albert branch and Weyburn branch have received $100,000 and $40,000, respectively, in funding for renovations and equipment purchases.
