SASKATOON, SASK. — The Government of Saskatchewan has announced the annual Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) summit will be held in Saskatoon from July 21 to July 25, 2019.
Cut Knife-Turtleford MLA Larry Doke assumed the role of PWNER president at the 2018 summit, held recently in Spokane, Wash.
The PNWER is a statutory public/private non-profit organization with the goals of increasing the well-being and quality of life of Pacific NorthWest citizens and maintaining and enhancing the region’s natural environment, explains a release.
The organization’s membership includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon and Northwest Territories representing Canada, and the U.S. states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Washington. Saskatchewan last hosted the summit in 2012.
