VANCOUVER — Jason Santeford has been named managing director of Gensler’s new Vancouver office.
The global architecture, design and planning firm noted Santeford has more than 20 years experience in the field.
“I am excited to join such an impressive firm and look forward to leading the Vancouver office as it continues to grow,” said Santeford in a press release. “I am a passionate advocate for design, innovation and fostering a culture of creativity and community. My belief in collaboration and advancing the use of technology in architecture and design is something I look forward to sharing with our clients.”
Gensler stated Santeford is tasked with encouraging a “culture of creative excellence within a wide diversity of practice areas including technology, sciences, entertainment, office, mixed-use, residential, professional services and education spaces.”
Santeford’s notable past projects include the Oakridge Centre Redevelopment in Vancouver, the Capital
Market Authority Tower in Riyadh and the New St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. He has led clients and teams in a variety of project types including mixed-use, office, health care, commercial retail, education and residential.
Before taking his job with Gensler, Santeford worked as a principal at Stantec Architecture and an
architectural business centre discipline lead for the province.
His work has garnered numerous awards, including an Emphoris Skyscraper Award; American Institute of Architects Honor Awards for Architecture; and World’s Largest LEED Platinum Campus Project, U.S. Green Building Council.
