EDMONTON — Starting Jan. 8, a major downtown Edmonton street will be closed to accommodate Valley Line light rapid transit (LRT) construction until 2020.
Construction will go between 96 Street and 103 Street on 102 Avenue, and the road will be fully closed to on-street traffic.
One sidewalk on either the north or south side of 102 Avenue will remain open at all times. Street access will be maintained for pedestrians, though they are encouraged to use underground pedways if possible.
The construction zone will be fenced and Edmonton residents can get current information on construction in the area at Transedlrt.ca.
