Saskatchewan begins health facility renewals 

The Government of Saskatchewan has $100 million funding going towards Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) renewal projects in the summer and fall of next year. Projects include equipment upgrades to the Regina General Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab, replacement of the booms in operating theatres and building exterior repairs at Regina General and Pasqua hospitals as well as installation of oxygen concentrators in rural hospitals to ensure a ready supply of self-generated oxygen for patients. About 60 long-term care facilities across the province will receive funding for maintenance and upgrades. 

CP Rail proposes Metro Vancouver logistics facility 

Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway Limited is proposing a multi-modal, multi-commodity transload and logistics facility on land holdings adjacent to its existing rail facility in Pitt Meadows, B.C. CP Logistics Park: Vancouver would be a 41-hectare agricultural facility, an auto facility to receive North American made vehicles for shipping around the world and a liquid energy transload and rail facility. CP commenced its First Nations engagement for the project

Efficiency Capital earns green building award 

Efficiency Capital yesterday announced that its energy efficiency retrofit project across multiple WoodGreen Community Housing buildings is the first project in Canada to achieve international Investor Ready Energy Efficiency certification, awarded by Green Business Certification Inc. Canada. A statement said its “investment and funding strategy helped WoodGreen leverage $1.3 million in reserve funds into a $3.4 million retrofit project projected to achieve over $5.7 million in utility savings over the useful life of the equipment.”
