The intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway (Provincial Trunk Highway 1) at Provincial Road 207 on the east side of Winnipeg is being upgraded.
Winnipeg-based Wintec construction is completing the work that includes removing previous pavement and curbing and repaving and upgrading the intersection. Commonly known as Deacon’s Corner, the intersection is home to a growing business park and a busy railway crossing nearby. Construction, which started in May, is expected to continue through October. The cost of the project is $7.8 million.
