CaGBC signs new firms to Disclosure Challenge
The Canada Green Building Council today announced that four new firms have signed on to its Disclosure Challenge. The challenge requires participants to publicly share their portfolio-wide energy, water and carbon data through the Energy Star Portfolio Manage platform. The four new participants are Brookfield Properties, Kingsett Capital, SHAPE Properties and Golden Properties.
Alberta looks to expand apprenticeship model
The Government of Alberta is inviting post-secondary institutions and industry groups to submit proposals for new certificate and diploma programs that provide a majority of education through paid on-the-job mentorship. The effort is part of the province’s Alberta 2030: Building Skills for Jobs strategic plan and more information is available here.
Tsuut’ina First Nations high school opens
Work on the Many Horses High School at the Tsuut’ina First Nations outside Calgary, Alta. is complete. Firms involved in the project include the MCW Group of Companies, The Workun Garrick Partnership, Bird Construction and Trimen Electric Ltd.
