VANCOUVER — Clark Builders recently announced it has adopted and implemented Building L.I.F.E. (Living Injury Free Every Day) across all of its sites.
Building L.I.F.E. is a safety approach that was developed by Turner Construction, a partner of Clark. The process is designed to create and sustain a culture that promotes an incident-free environment and provides the safest workplace possible for employees, contractors, clients and the community.
According to Clark, the goal of L.I.F.E. is to produce a bottom-up safety culture driven by increased worker engagement in safety and planning processes. The system focuses on optimizing human performance with observation and feedback.
It empowers everyone involved in construction – including Clarks employees and its trade partners – to observe, engage, participate and share safety procedures and halt unsafe work.
“We’re committed to the safety of all our employees,” said Clark officials in a release. “It’s our opportunity to significantly advance our mission to live the purpose of enriching people’s lives; by caring for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of everyone we work with, work for and work near.”
