EDMONTON — The Government of Alberta is investing 150,000 in student workplace safety.
The province is partnering with SafeGen and other organizations to provide free safety training to students as they explore possible career paths, states a news release.
“This is a key part of the Renewed Alberta Advantage, because it keeps young Albertans safe, creates vibrant workforces that attract job creators and helps our economy grow even stronger,” said Brian Jean, minister of jobs, economy and northern development, in the release.
SafeGen’s JobSafe program provides training for students across Alberta and teaches the next generation valuable skills to keep them safe in modern workplaces.
