Construction is well underway on the historical restoration of the nearly 100 year old Queen Mary Elementary School in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
The general contractor is DGS Construction Company Ltd. DA Architects + Planners is the architect and a LEED consultant. The project also includes seismic upgrades and a new gym.
Consultants on the project include Barry McGinn Architect (heritage), Morrison Hershfield Ltd. (building envelope), Aplin & Martin Consultants (civil), Jones Kwong Kishi (structural), MMM Group (mechanical), Cobalt Engineering (electrical), LMDG Building Code Consultants, GeoPacific Consultants (geotechnical) and Recollective Consulting (LEED).
The project is aiming for LEED Gold certification.
