PHOTO: Excavating the Forte

Though work has only just begun on the Forte condominium project in Burnaby, B.C., the space will soon contain a 46,000-square-foot, mixed-use, five-storey development with 34 residential units and retail on the main and mezzanine levels.

The owner and general contractor is Streetside Developments and design was by Burrowes Huggins Architects. Engineering for the project is by MCW Consultants Ltd. (mechanical), WSP Canada Inc. (civil), Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers (structural) and Nemetz & associates Ltd. (electrical). The project is estimated for completion by summer 2019.
