CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Residents of Chilliwack, B.C. are getting 67 new, affordable rental housing units thanks to funding from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
The units will be paid for by the corporation’s Rental Construction Financing Initiative. The federal government will be spending $11.8 million to build Webb Avenue Apartments, a four-storey apartment building.
At least 10 per cent of the apartments must accessible and 27 units will be adaptable.
Richlane Builders will be constructing the building.
