Bird announces refinery services contract
Bird Construction announced this morning that it has been awarded a three-year contract with a two-year extension option for mechanical and electrical maintenance services for the North West Redwater Partnership refinery in Redwater, Alta. The total value of the multi-year contract awarded is potentially up to $75 million.
BCIT introduces new fundamentals of water and wastewater operations certificate
The British Columbia Institute of Technology is introducing a new associate certificate in Fundamentals of Water and Wastewater Operations. The program was developed in collaboration with Metro Vancouver, the Environmental Operators Certification Program and local municipalities. More details are available here.
SaskPower awards wind energy project to Cowessess First Nation
SaskPower has awarded its next utility-scale wind facility to Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Canada and Awasis Nehiyawewini Energy Development, a wholly owned Cowessess First Nation entity. the Bekevar Wind Energy Project will be built north of Moose Mountain Provincial Park in the RM of Hazelwood, the RM of Kingsley and on Cowessess First Nation reserve land and will supply 200 megawatts (MW) of zero-emissions power.
