Luxury condo project in B.C. wins homebuilders' award
DOMINIUM DEVELOPMENT—Zara, a luxury condo resort near Kelowna, B.C., has been awarded the 2020 Community Development of the Year by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

LAKE COUNTRY, B.C.—A luxury condo project in Lake Country, B.C. has been awarded the 2020 Community Development of the Year by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

The project, named Zara, is a resort-style development located in the heart of Lakestone, part of B.C.’s Okanagan region. The development features 86 one-, two- and three-bedroom lock and leave residences, including six luxury two storey penthouses.

The design of the resort aims to mirror the mountains that frame Okanagan Lake by applying stone, timber and glass.

“Zara is the only condominium project in Lakestone and will offer residents a resort lifestyle with an extensive range of wellness-centric building amenities including an infinity pool, hot tub, fire pits, fitness centre, sauna, event space and retail shops including a future restaurant,” said Amir Haque, principal at Dominium Inc. in a statement.

The current amenities include almost 30 kilometres of nature trails, a waterside park with community dock, plus onsite tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts. In addition, Lakestone is situated only 10 minutes from Kelowna’s international airport and a 15-minute drive to the city’s downtown core.
