WINNIPEG — Cadillac Fairview and Shindico have announced a Master Plan for CF Polo Park in Winnipeg.
The project will see the redevelopment of the former Canad Inns Stadium lands into a new community hub, states a news release.
The CF Polo Park and surrounding lands consists of 84 acres.
The Master Plan will create a new community with residential, amenity and retail uses, new parks, open spaces, private and public streets and pedestrian and cycling connections around CF Polo Park, the largest shopping centre in Manitoba.
Phase one of the plan will start with the former stadium lands.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a vibrant community around the most successful shopping centre in the prairies,” said Sandy Shindeleman, president of Shindico, in the release.
CF Polo Park was built in 1959.
