Tender Description
Site work for a civil project in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Scope of the Works involves the following:
The District of North Vancouver operates four identical reservoirs, two on Mountain Highway and two on to Prospect Road. The reservoirs were built in 1965 and consist of unanchored, ground supported flat bottom steel tanks, 11 m diameter by 12 m high. The tank foundations need to be upgraded to meet current seismic loading requirements.
The proposed upgrades to the Prospect Road and Mountain Highway Water Reservoirs are as follows:
a) Construct concrete ring beams.
b) Install ground anchors.
c) Fabricate and install new steel brackets on existing steel tanks.
d) Apply protective coating to interior of tank where there is damage to existing coating caused by welding of new brackets.
e) Install new flexible connections in connecting piping.
