District of North Vancouver – Roadwork

Tender Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of 175m of road widening and sidewalk construction on the South side of 16th Street between the District of North Vancouver (DNV) municipal boundary with the City of North Vancouver and Mountain Highway in Lynn Valley. The project “Works” include:

– Tree clearing, grubbing, and hedge trimming,
– Removal and disposal of existing concrete and asphalt,
– Common excavation with disposal offsite,
– Supply and installation of new curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway let downs,
– Supply, placement, grading, and compaction of granular sub base and base gravels,
– Reinstatement of road and driveway asphalt,
– Replacement of catch basins with lead extensions and installation of inspection chambers,
– Installation of minor line painting and signs,
– Restoration landscaping including topsoil placement, seeding, and planting
