The City of St Albert maintains the roadway network using a multitude of construction methodologies. This program is to deal with those areas which are found to be in need of spot rehabilitation of asphalt and/or concrete work. Locations of the work will vary throughout the City and may involve multiple locations. Once the City has determined that an area of concern will qualify for this emergent work, the successful proponents will be contacted to provide a cost. The quantities and scope of work will be determined by the City in advance of any costing proposals from the successful proponents.
The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is to solicit submissions from suitably qualified General Contracting firms to undertake the Emergent Road Surface Maintenance and Restoration Program for the 2018 construction season. The City of St. Albert will evaluate the “Proposals” in accordance with the qualification criteria outlined in this RFPQ.
The RFPQ is the first stage of a two (2) stage selection process to select and enter into contract with a General Contractor to undertake Emergent Road Surface Maintenance and Restoration Program. The second stage will be an invitational tender to the pre-qualified Proponents. The City of St. Albert will execute a contract agreement with the successful bidder.
