Tender Description
Renovation of a power facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
BC Hydro is requesting information regarding, and may proceed with negotiations with one or more Shortlisted Respondents for the award of one or more contracts in respect of, the design, manufacturing, factory testing, transportation and delivery, installation, site testing and commissioning of non-SF6 switchgear equipment at or near Barnard and/or Capilano Substations in British Columbia, Canada. BC Hydro is seeking to reduce its environmental impact through new switchgear technology with alternative non-SF6 dielectric insulating mediums that will not compromise safety or the efficiency and reliability of energy delivery to our customers.
The medium voltage non-SF6 switchgear contemplated under this RFEI is intended for two substations located in British Columbia, Canada:
Barnard Substation located in Burnaby, BC is expected to have two complete indoor 27.5 kV, 2000 A, 40 kA (target), 7 feeder non-SF6 insulated switchgear modules
Capilano Substation located in North Vancouver, BC is expected to have two complete indoor 27.5 kV, 2000 A, 31.5 kA (target), 6 feeder non-SF6 insulated switchgear modules
