YELLOWKNIFE, N.W.T — Major ventilation improvements are coming to four buildings in the Northwest Territories.
More than $4 million in federal funding was announced to improve ventilation at the Fort McPherson Health Centre, the Whatì Health Centre and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife.
The Paul William Kaeser High School in Fort Smith will receive a new ventilation system.
“Improving methods to limit public exposure to airborne viruses such as COVID-19 continues to be a priority; the health and safety of our residents is paramount. We know that we are more susceptible to airborne viruses when we are indoors,” said Diane Archie, minister of infrastructure with the Government of Northwest Territories, in a release.
