Angels in disguise: Construction crew protects memorial on Ottawa jobsite

Diana Devine didn’t know what to expect when she arrived to find construction taking place near a memorial honouring her father who died in a workplace incident in 2005. To her surprise, the memorial, located near Parliament Hill in Ottawa, had been encased in a plexiglass box to protect and preserve it. Her family later found out that Timothy Johnstone, a superintendent for the PCL-EllisDon joint venture project on the site, and his crew built the box because it was “the right thing to do.”
