The Construction Record – Episode 189: Supply chains and Construction with Barry LePatner

This week on the Construction Record podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with construction thought leader Barry LePatner about ongoing difficulties in the United States and globally as supply chain issues continue to plague construction and many other industries

LePatner said a semiconductor shortage from Asian suppliers is one of the main drivers of continued disruption as is the war in Ukraine and an ongoing labour shortage including fierce competition for workers such as truck drivers who can work for either construction-related firms or huge corporations such as Amazon and Wal-Mart who require more and more means of distribution.

You can listen to The Construction Record and TCR Express on the Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce websites as well as on Apple PodcastsSpotify and Amazon Music’s podcast, and you can listen to the previous podcast featuring Toronto Society of Architects program director Joel Leon and executive member Kurtis Chen about historic queer spaces in Toronto here. Thanks for listening and we’ll see you next week.
