The Construction Record Podcast – Episode 130: CAPP’s Ben Brunnen on reducing emission intensity

This week on the Construction Record Podcast digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) oil sands and fiscal and economic policy vice president Ben Brunnen about a recent report on how the oil and gas industry is reducing greenhouse gas emission intensity.

The report, titled “Canada’s Natural Gas and Oil Emissions: Ongoing Reductions, Demonstrable Improvement” and Brunnen explained how the report covers not only technology currently being employed such as carbon capture but also new processes just on the horizon.

Brunnen also spoke about the push to ensure upstream energy going into oil and gas operations lowers emission intensity and broke down where Canada ranks against other jurisdictions in terms of reducing emissions in industrial settings.

You can listen to The Construction Record and TCR Express on the Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce websites as well as on Apple PodcastsSpotify and Amazon Music’s podcast section and you can hear last week’s episode featuring Credivera co-founder and CEO Dan Giurescu here. Thanks for listening and we’ll see you next week.
