TORONTO — The Request for Proposals (RFP) stage has closed for William Osler Health System’s Peel Memorial Hospital phase two redevelopment project.
Four teams were shortlisted and invited to respond to the RFP in October 2024.
The following teams submitted their proposals by the deadline:
- Progress Peel Health Solutions
- Pomerleau Inc.
- EllisDon Corporation
- Bird Design-Build Construction Inc.
Infrastructure Ontario and Osler will evaluate the proposals and the top-ranked team will enter into a development phase agreement. Once that phase concludes, a final contract is expected to be awarded.
The redevelopment project includes 250 inpatient beds with the space to build more in the future; new and enhanced mental health and addictions programs; more services for seniors, including dementia care; rehabilitation and complex continuing care; inpatient and outpatient dialysis; new outpatient clinics and services; and a 24/7 emergency department.
The build will also incorporate principles of senior-friendly design, accessibility and infection prevention and control, explains a release.
