Open call for candidates for PEO’s 2025 council elections

TORONTO — Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), the province’s engineering regulator, is seeking PEO-licensed professional engineer candidates to stand for election as councillors to its 2025-2026 council.

“PEO is seeking P.Eng. candidates who reflect the diversity of the Ontario engineering profession and are knowledgeable about board governance and professional self-regulation,” explains a release. “Individuals may nominate themselves or a qualified colleague.”

The PEO Council is the regulator’s governing body and board of directors and is responsible for managing and administering its affairs as per the Professional Engineers Act.

PEO councillors provide direction and control governance functions to ensure the organization fulfills its mandate of governing its licence holders and regulating the practice of professional engineering in the public interest.
