TransAlta announces new CEO
Calgary-based TransAlta announced John Kousinioris, the present COO of the company and president of TransAlta Renewables, will take over as president and CEO of the company on April 1. Kousinioris is taking over from retiring president and CEO Dawn Farrell.
Saskatchewan completes second year of $100 million intersection safety strategy
The Government of Saskatchewan has completed the second year of a five-year plan to improve intersection safety across the province. Approximately $40 million has been spent on the project since 2019, a government release stated. The project began after the Humboldt bus crash in April 2018, when the government committed to reviewing every intersection in the province.
Strilchuk joins Avison Young western team
Avison Young yesterday announced that former Canada ICI executive Myles Strilchuk, has joined the firm as a principal. Strilchuk joins the office’s mortgage services division and will focus on all asset classes across Western Canada, including commercial, industrial and retail. At ICI Canada he worked in all asset classes with a focus on multi-family development and term debt, including CMHC financing.
