Leaders on the go
With one week to go before the federal election, the three main national leaders have announced their agendas for today. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will be in Vancouver where he will make a morning announcement. Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole is visiting Ottawa where he will make announcement then hold a virtual town hall with residents of Ontario followed by another for residents of British Columbia. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is in Sioux Lookout, Ont. where he will meet with the media then visit members of the Neskantaga First Nation.
Sherrin acquires U.S. properties from Starlight fund
Starlight U.S. Multi-Family (No. 1) Core Plus Fund announced Sept. 10 that it has entered into an agreement with Sherrin U.S. Multi-Family (No. 1) Holding LP under which Sherrin will acquire Starlight’s portfolio of seven class “A” institutional multi-family properties totalling 2,219 units located in the United States. The deal is valued at US$600 million.
City of Edmonton releases construction update video
The City of Edmonton has released a new video updating progress on 2021 construction goals at the mid-point in the building season. Work is currently underway to convert Yellowhead Trail into a freeway, widen Terwillegar Drive, improve Jasper Avenue, build the new Valley Line West LRT and revitalize parks and neighbourhoods, a City of Edmonton release stated.
