Don Kayne as been appointed as the new CEO of Canfor, an integrated forest products company based in Vancouver. Kayne takes over from James F. Shepard, the current president and CEO of Canfor.
Don Kayne as been appointed as the new CEO of Canfor, an integrated forest products company based in Vancouver. Kayne takes over from James F. Shepard, the current president and CEO of Canfor.
Shepard returned to Canfor from retirement and led the company for four years through the economic crisis and up until the present. He will re-retire at the next annual meeting of shareholders, scheduled for May 5, 2011.
Kayne has been with Canfor for 32 years in a variety of positions. His last position was as vice president of wood products market and sales for the company.
Canfor produces softwood lumber, oriented strand board, remanufactured lumber products and specialized wood products. Canfor has interests in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Washington state and North and South Carolina.
