EDMONTON, ALTA. – Construction associations from Alberta’s two biggest cities are dropping the puck on a playoff wager.
The Calgary Construction Association and the Edmonton Construction Association are betting their respective cities will win the Battle of Alberta and move forward to the next step in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The losing association will have its president film a 20 to 30 second video wearing the opposing team’s jersey and congratulate the team’s win and advancement to the next stage of the playoffs.
A heartfelt or tongue-in-cheek message will go out in the association’s newsletter congratulating the win and wishing the team the best of luck in the upcoming playoff rounds and links to the message will go out on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms used by the association.
The losing association will also provide a $500 donation to a local charity of the winning association’s choosing.
