Paving crew members of Raiders Site Services smooth out the red concrete being poured into the form of a maple leaf along Franklin Ave. in Fort McMurray.
The Alberta-based company was contracted by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo to pour new sidewalks and boulevards along the main street in the downtown area. The length of the new pours, which included about six kilometres of swirls of red and darker gray concrete. The work began mid-June and recently wrapped up with the maple leaf pour.
