MEDICINE HAT — Medicine Hat College is set to undergo significant upgrades, ensuring rural students have access to modern, comfortable and accessible learning spaces.
The Alberta government has earmarked $1.2 million for upgrading the T-Wing on the second floor of the Medicine Hat campus. This investment will support the planning, design and construction of a new corridor that links the second-floor areas, while also reconfiguring classrooms affected by the construction.
In addition to the Medicine Hat second-floor construction, the southern Alberta post-secondary budget for 2023 will see substantial investments in other educational initiatives at Lethbridge College and the University of Lethbridge. These investments are designed to expand enrolment in high-demand programs, create new seats in technology programs, support internationally educated nurses, apprenticeships and renew campus facilities. The total budget for these investments amounts to $22.5 million.
