New affordable housing initiative launched in Saskatoon with 10 barrier-free units

SASKATOON, SASK.— The Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Saskatoon and Newrock Developments have jointly opened Sage Meadows, a new housing project.

This townhouse community in Saskatoon is designed to provide affordable and barrier-free living spaces.

Sage Meadows features 10 units, with four homes allocated for low-income families and six designed as barrier-free to accommodate individuals with physical disabilities. Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan, a non-profit organization, will oversee support services and tenant placement, focusing on practical and universally accessible homes.

The project’s total funding of $585,250 includes contributions from multiple sources: $250,000 from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation through the Saskatchewan Co-Investment Program, an equal amount of $250,000 provided by the City of Saskatoon, and $85,250 from Newrock Developments.

This initiative is part of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation’s broader commitment, which has seen an investment of $830 million since 2007.

I have put together a potential plan and analyzed Saskatoon per area. To the councilors in charge please read before many more mistakes come your way. This city isnt designed for big city ideas and this city needs my help or this city is gone in 10 years due to errors provided by the city. And my study proves the crime index used old numbers. I can prove the crime index wasnt done in 2021 or 2022 properly.
