ACHESON, ALTA. — North American Construction Group Ltd. has announced that Mikisew North American Limited Partnership (MNALP) has been awarded a heavy civil construction contract in the oilsands region of Alberta.
The two-year project, which is anticipated to generate $125 million for the company, involves building large diversion ditches to redirect water from upstream catchments away from active mining areas and releasing into downstream locations, states a release.
Set to begin in January 2025, the project is located at one of the mines in the Fort McMurray region.
Completion is set for October 2026.
