VANCOUVER — The BC First Nations Business Development Association (FNBDA) and the British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that signifies a shared commitment to advancing economic reconciliation.
It is also meant to foster meaningful partnerships between BC First Nations and the construction industry.
“By integrating First Nations perspectives into programs, creating inclusive training opportunities, and promoting fair procurement practices, this collaboration paves the way for a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous future for all,” a release from the association states.
A key aspect of the MOU is the formation of a dedicated working group to strategize and implement initiatives that include First Nations in the construction sector.
