Port Coquitlam’s third pothole blitz kicks off March 4 to 6

PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. — Some bumpy roads are about to get fixed.

The City of Port Coquitlam is gearing up for its third annual pothole repair blitz, scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 through to Thursday, March 6, weather permitting.

City crews have conducted inspections across Port Coquitlam, identifying potholes requiring attention, a release reads.

The blitz will see two city crews, comprised of approximately eight staff members, working from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. over the three days. In addition to pothole repairs, crews will also be incorporating gravel shoulder maintenance.

Residents driving or cycling in Port Coquitlam can expect minor delays around work zones.

According to the city, since January crews have already repaired 40 potholes. In 2024, the city repaired 78 potholes during the three-day blitz.

Potholes are typically repaired within four days of being reported, whether through proactive patrols or resident service requests.
