D/B Hôpital Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital Construction

Scope

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,429,272-square-foot, 13-story above grade, 404-bed medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and medical facility. Construction of a new 404-single room 132,340 square meters Hospital that will also feature an operating theater with 11 rooms and an emergency room with 41 stretchers. The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital is designed to meet high industry standards and to accommodate state-of-the-art medical equipment. The complex will include two pavilions. The first will bring together the majority of the outpatient functions as well as an auditorium, reception facilities, laboratories and support functions. The second 13-storey pavilion will house the majority of critical functions such as emergency, operating room, medical imaging and all care units. The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest estimates that it will need to hire more than 3,000 employees, managers and doctors for the opening of the hospital in 2026. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a design/build contractor following the final stage of a multi-stage public tendering process finalized under the number 44530868. Construction is underway. The design/build contractor is working with invited sub trade contractors. This project representing an overall investment of $2.595 billion will be completed in 2026. Note.
