New Sherwood Elementary K-6 School

Scope

Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the construction of a 77,603-square-foot, three-story above grade, 650-seat educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility. Construction of a new Sherwood K-6 school, the demolition of the existing Sherwood School (separate tender) and the construction of all associated staff and visitor parking lots, bus drop off areas, as well as the establishment of green space designated areas. A small soccer field will also be required. This will be a Net Zero facility and work include solar PV installation. Demolition of the existing school building will be carried out once the new facility has been built (2024). TIMELINE: Various Sub Trade Packages have been issued for the project; sub awards will be published once information is released for publication. Construction is underway. *Geothermal Well Drilling services is by Moore Drilling.
