RFP D/B - Design Build Recovery Park Project

Scope

Site work and new construction of an industrial development in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the construction of a industrial development; and for site work for a industrial development. Recovery Park is a waste and recycling transfer facility which is to be located immediately west of the existing City of Saskatoon Landfill. Recovery Park will replace some of the existing landfill facilities with a new layout which is to be designed to accommodate the City's needs for the next 50 years. The Project will require a new scale house, a vehicle storage shed, staff facilities, transfer facilities, as well as other improvements and appurtenances. The City has provided a reference concept that has defined and designed many elements of the project that meet the City's needs. In general, the project involves taking all the elements prescribed to detailed design and coordinating all the elements together into a constructed working piece of infrastructure. The City has done a significant amount of work to eliminate uncertainty and apportion risk on the project appropriately. The amount of 'functional' design on the project has been significantly reduced to almost nothing. * This project is being bid by invitation only.
