RFP Design/Build - Municipal Workshops

Scope

Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Varennes, Quebec. Completed plans call for the construction of a 70,200-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility. Design, construction and commissioning of municipal workshops regrouping all activities of the Public Works Services, such as a relaxation area, office spaces, various workshops (mechanics, carpentry, etc.) and sanitary blocks. Request for proposals for design/build project is underway. Reference number : 1263766 Estimated value:$ 10,000,000 to $ 19,999,999 The City of Varennes intends to have its new municipal workshops built on the land located at 2650-2652, Sainte-Anne Street, lot 63, parish of Varennes. A design-build contract will be awarded to a single contractor (or consortium) by the City of Varennes. This turnkey contract includes, but is not limited to, the design, construction, supply of labor and all materials and equipment required to commission future municipal workshops for a fee total lump sum of up to $ 11.2 million plus applicable taxes. Any submission exceeding $ 11.2 million (plus taxes) will be automatically dismissed without being analyzed. The contractor must perform all the work implicit and not specifically described, but necessary for the perfect completion of the work. The Contractor is responsible for coordinating with all stakeholders and professionals it has proposed to ensure the completion and completion of the project. As stipulated in Article 8 of the general administrative clauses, the tenderer must ensure that all documents requested by the City are included. Failure to provide one of the requested documents could result in the rejection of the bid. Submissions must be submitted in eight (8) copies (1 original and 7 full copies) and be accompanied by the following documents: A bid bond: can be issued by means of a bank draft, a certified check or a bid bond issued by a company duly authorized by the AMF to perform bonding activities, equal to ten percent (10%) the price of the tender including taxes, valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days; A performance bond and obligations for wages, materials and pledges: may be issued by means of a letter of intent issued by a company duly authorized by the AMF to perform bonding activities and undertaking, as soon as possible awarding the contract to the tenderer, issuing a performance bond for an amount equivalent to 50% of the bid price, and bonding the bonds to guarantee the payment of wages, materials and wages for an equivalent amount 50% of the bid price including taxes. These documents must be valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days. The City of Varennes does not undertake to accept the lowest or any of the bids received and can not incur any liability or incur any costs of any kind towards the bidders.
