Scope
Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 26,910-square-foot, one-story above grade, 150-seat educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility. PREQUALIFIED General Contractors ONLY. The Prairie Spirit School Division (PSSD) currently has the Blaine Lake Composite School that is being replaced by a new K-12 school to accommodate up to 150 students. The new school facility will be approximately 2,500 sq m and will address accessibility and intensive needs for the students. Work of this Contract will also include abatement and demolition of the existing Blaine Lake Composite School. The Prairie Spirit School Division (Board) is a progressive school division with a focus on excellence for its students and staff. The Board has received approval from the Ministry of Education (Ministry) to complete construction documents and issue an RFQ for a new K-12 school building in Blaine Lake. Commissioning will be carried out by Thurston Engineering Services. The General Contractor is expected to fully participate in the commissioning process. *Structural, Mechanical and Electrical engineers are currently unreleased for publication.
