RFQ Contractor - Bridletowne Neighbourhood Centre Project

Scope

New construction of a fitness / recreation center in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 215,000-square-foot, four-story above grade fitness / recreation center. RFSQ Contractor - Bridletowne Neighbourhood Centre The Scarborough Health Network (SHN) and the YMCA of Greater Toronto (YMCA) invite all general, mechanical and electrical contractors to the Bridletown Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) Project for prequalification. The BNC is a partnership between SHN and YMCA of Greater Toronto located in the Steeles L'Amoureaux community in Scarborough. BNC will be is a new 4 storey, 215,000 sq ft facility that includes many health and wellness programs. BNC will be a community hub that will serve more than 70,000 people who live in the immediate area and upwards of 200,000 people who live in surrounding communities. The SHN programs will offer chronic disease management programs including primary car services. It will provide supportive and accessible outpatient facilities for dialysis patients. Along with the dialysis treatment stations, the facility will include programs and services to support patients in a one-stop environment. Additional services include training and education on at-home dialysis, support for family members and counseling on healthy living choices. The YMCA health and fitness facilities will offer individual conditioning, aquatics, group fitness classes, and preschool/ children/ youth programs including child-minding, recreational sports, and volunteer development. BNC is an innovative partnership that brings vital programs, healthcare, and inclusive community spaces together under one roof.
