Country Terrace Long-Term Care Home Addition and Renovations

Scope

Renovation and addition to an elderly care / assisted living facility in Komoka, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 50,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, eight-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for the renovation of a 63,000-square-foot, 120-bed elderly care / assisted living facility. Demolition and Renovation of LTC Building (3 Phases of work). Country Terrace is an existing 120-bed Long-Term Care Home. The home is undergoing a modernization and expansion to a 128 bed 'Class A' Long-Term Care Home. The project consists of a new three storey, 50,000 sf addition and renovations to the existing 63,000 sf Long-Term Care Home, expanding it to 128 beds. Construction will be completed in several phases, while maintaining the operation and safe care of the residents of the existing Home throughout the project. Description of work: three (3) phases of work: Phase 1 is a 50,000 sq ft, three-storey addition plus partial demolition of the existing LTC home building; Phase 2 is a renovation to approx. 30,000 sq ft of the existing building plus demolition of more of the existing two-storey building; Phase 3 is a renovation to the balance of 10,000 sq ft of the existing building.
