Site work is underway for new condo development in Vancouver, B.C.’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
Rize Alliance Properties Inc. is the owner and general contractor for The Independent, a 258-unit tower with townhouse blocks and commercial space. Acton Ostry Architects Inc. did the design. Consulting engineers on the project include Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (structural), Integral Group (mechanical), Nemetz (S/A) & Associates Ltd. (electrical), Bunt & Associates (transportation planners) and Recollective Consulting Ltd. (sustainability). The project is aiming for LEED certification.
