Pitt Meadows, B.C. – Pitt Meadows Plumbing & Mechanical Systems is celebrating their vice president, Matthew Robinson, winning the Vancouver Regional Construction Association’s Under 40 Excellence in Construction Award.

Robinson represents the second generation of leadership at Pitt Meadows Plumbing. Officials at the company noted that he has been a major driving force at the business over the last seven years.

“His passion and drive along with his ability to build strong working relationships with everyone he meets are just a few of the traits that assure everyone around him that his leadership in the company is making a difference,” read a press release.

Robinson currently supervises many aspects of the business but spends much of his time seeking new jobs and ensuring that the teams are in place to deliver projects for clients.

“Thank-you to everybody I work with,” said Robinson, who dedicated the award to the entire company’s team. “The last seven or eight years have been really mind-blowing. It’s quite exciting to be part of our construction industry these days.”

Part of the nomination process for the award was receiving recommendations from industry peers and colleagues. The comments illustrated that Robinson’s impact goes beyond his work with the company.

“Matthew is amongst our very best young leaders, an unsung hero whose passion and altruistic nature personifies the values of professionalism, empathy and commitment that makes for a lasting and meaningful impact on our industry and community,” Sanjeev Dhillon, a field marketing manager for Procore.

The award was presented to Robinson at the VRCA’s annual Awards of Excellence in downtown Vancouver.
