Saskatchewan construction associations announce major merger

SASKATOON, SASK. – Five Saskatchewan construction associations have announced a merger into one entity: the Construction Associations of Saskatchewan (CAS).

The Moose Jaw Construction Association, Prince Albert Construction Association, Saskatoon Construction Association, Saskatchewan Construction Association and Regina Construction Association voted during special meetings held by each association from Oct. 1 to Oct. 3, a release said.

“This vote marks a new dawn for our industry in the land of living skies. It symbolizes our members’ commitment to progress, and to embracing the power of unity for the betterment of all. Together, we are determined to serve the members with even greater strength, resources, and advocacy, supporting a thriving industry that is crucial to Saskatchewan’s economy,” CAS co-CEOs Kevin Dureau and Shannon Friesen said in a statement.

“The decision to unite reflects a shared vision of honouring the deep roots laid by the associations’ past while collaboratively building the present and a stronger and brighter future,” the release said.
