Nomodic Modular Structures awarded B.C. contract

CALGARY – Nomodic Modular Structures Inc. announced that it, in partnership with Alta-Fab Structures Ltd. and Northern Frontier Corp., has been awarded a custom design and turnkey supply contract from a producer of natural gas in northeast British Columbia.

Field office, shop and accommodations facilities will be strategically located to enable remote operation of the producer’s wells, pipelines, compressors and related field equipment.

When construction and installation are complete in fall 2016, the facility will provide remote office space and related accommodations for up to 60 employees and contractors.

The award follows Nomodic’s previous remote operations facilities that were designed, manufactured and installed for another producer with assets in northeast British Columbia.

"We, along with our partners, appreciate the opportunity to work with the client at their world-class Montney gas plant. The industry has been under tremendous pressure over the past two years to maximize the impact of every dollar spent, so we are very pleased to work with the leader of Canadian natural gas development by providing these innovative remote living and work spaces which minimize the footprint of their site," explained Kevin Read, CEO of Nomodic in a statement.

Leading the partnership is Alta-Fab who will manufacture the buildings before handing off to Northern Frontier for remote installation. Nomodic will design, co-ordinate and provide project management services for the development and installation of the field office and 60-bed camp.
