VANCOUVER — Elevator and escalator company KONE recently announced it has acquired Vancouver-based Eltec Elevator Ltd. The purchase includes Eltec’s operations throughout greater Vancouver.
“The acquisition of Eltec Elevator both strengthens our market position and increases our ability to offer innovative smart building solutions and KONE People Flow expertise to an even larger customer base,” KONE Americas executive vice-president Larry Walsh said in a statement.
Eltec Elevator was founded in 1982.
Originally founded in Finland in 1910, KONE currently employs 55,000 people across 60 countries, building autowalks, escalators and elevators.
