Stantec to acquire Engenium
Engineering and design firm Stantec has signed a letter of intent to acquire Engenium, an Australian project delivery consultancy specializing in delivery of mining, resources and industrial infrastructure projects. Engenium recently helped large-scale mining clients to implement green energy into their operations including solar power, battery systems and steam regeneration.
Air quality summit set for April 13
Firms in the air quality, occupational health and safety and HVAC sectors have announced an Indoor Air Quality Summit to take place next Tuesday, April 13. Summit partners include Enercare, Pura Air and VETS Group. The virtual event, hosted out of Calgary, starts at 8 a.m. MT.
Schneider introduces new BIM tool
Schneider Electric today announced the launch of LayoutFAST, a software tool with special configuration and design automation features intended to introduce greater speed, efficiency and accuracy to building information modeling (BIM) and electrical design. The free tool is targeted at for consulting engineers, contractors, modellers and electrical designers. Schneider is a France-based firm active in the North American market.
